Overwatch 2 executive producer departs Blizzard - gallaghermilver
Administrator producer on the Overwatch series and Overwatch 2 development head Chacko Cub has declared he's leaving Blizzard.
The news was broken by Bloomberg, WHO reported that Lad told staff he would be departing at the destruction of the week. The news was later unchangeable past Blizzard in a statement minded to Polygonal shape, but didn't offer much perceptiveness into why. It said "Chacko Sonny is leaving Blizzard to take some time off after 5 years of service."
"The deep, talented Overwatch team is making excellent progress on Overwatch 2," the statement continued. "And thanks to their hard work, the game is in the net stages of production. We'll be sharing more at the Overwatch League Magisterial Finals later this calendar month."
According to Bloomberg, internal correspondence from new co-leadership Jen Oneal and Microphone Ybarra said helium was "a reflective loss leader". They also cite an internal promissory note from Sonny calling his clip at the company "an absolute perquisite and one of the best experiences of my vocation".
It's the latest of many high level departures in recent months following Activision Snowstorm's recent spate of workplace torment lawsuits. Former company President J. Gracie Brack departed in August in order to "follow newborn opportunities". On-going investigations into the supposed toxic work environs meanwhile led to the dismissal of Luis Barriga, Jesse McCree, and Jonathan LeCraft from the Diablo 4 and World of Warcraft teams a few weeks later.
Just yesterday, Activision Blizzard issued a statement after IT came to light that it was being investigated past the Securities and Exchange Commission.
